Scope of work:
– Single story extension
– Loft conversion
– Whole house refurbishment
The extension added space to the side and rear of the property. The purpose of this extension was to create an open planned kitchen, dining and living room area. Included in the extension is a pitched roof, a number of skylights which allows more natural light to flow through.
Further features include three panel bi-fold doors which have views of the garden. Both the rooflights and doors have a dark anthracite grey finish. The feature wall of London stock brick runs through to give the property a more traditional feel as well as being in touch with the modern finish.
The stairs and kitchen area are divided by a triangular shaped fire rated panel, this allows for more natural light to flow through the property. A new staircase into the loft has been created, as well as the complete refurb of the family bathroom.
Traditional Character Meets Modern Living
This project was all about creating a spacious, light-filled layout that brings together cooking, dining, and relaxing in one seamless area. By extending to the side and rear, we built an open-plan kitchen and living space complete with skylights, a pitched roof, and three-panel bi-fold doors—perfect for family life and entertaining.
A mix of modern and traditional finishes gives this home its charm. The anthracite grey rooflights and doors contrast beautifully with the London stock brick feature wall, while a fire-rated triangular glass panel between the stairs and kitchen adds both light and safety.
