Scope of work:
– Knocking down of main wall/merging of kitchen and living area
– Refurbishing both bathroom
The aim was simply to give the outdated cold home a bright modern look.
This was established by demolishing the wall which separated the old kitchen and living room, supporting it with steel beams. This created an open space which has been complete with an underfloor heating system, new wooden flooring, and a new kitchen. Also new sliding panels had been installed as wished by the client. The space created now has allowed for there to be a large common area for the family, looking into the beautiful green outdoors.
From Closed-Off to Open-Plan Living
This project was all about rethinking the layout to create a brighter, more inviting family space. The client’s main goal was to move away from a cold, compartmentalised structure and open up the heart of the home. By removing the dividing wall between the kitchen and living area and reinforcing it with steel beams, we laid the foundation—literally and figuratively—for a modern, spacious interior.
The transformation was completed with new wooden flooring, an efficient underfloor heating system, and sleek sliding panels that frame views of the garden and let in natural light. The refurbished bathrooms brought the same clean, updated feel to the rest of the home.
